Karen Benater
Counselor
About
Karen Benater initially felt the call to go into counseling as a senior in high school. She has a heart to walk alongside others as they seek out the Lord for understanding, clarity, perspective, and healing during the painful seasons of their lives. She received her master’s in counseling from L.S.U. and has worked in various settings including psychiatric hospitals, a residential treatment center, and in private practice as a Christian counselor in both Louisiana and Texas. She works with both individuals and couples.
Karen and her husband, Jason, have been married 27 years and have three children, a soon-to-be son-in-law, and quite possibly the cutest dog ever.
Outside of her work at Perimeter, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading theology & counseling books, working out, and having coffee with good friends.
